"How long does it take to make an animal?"

I can typically get most animals made in a day; however, it depends on how many current orders I have, if I have the requested yarn colors in stock, etc.  I try to get orders made and packaged up within 1-3 days.  This turn around time may change in the future. 

If you have a request for a jumbo animal, these typically take me a couple of days to make, so please allow 3-5 days.

"How are the critters baby-safe?"

Unlike most stuffed animals, these critters have hand-embroidered eyes and noses.  Normal stuffed animals use plastic "safety" eyes, but these are not actually baby-safe.  The plastic safety eyes have sharp, pointed backs which can come off and become a choking hazard. 

By hand-embroidering the eyes and noses, the need for these plastic pieces is eliminated. 

 

Plus, if your pet gets ahold of your child's toy, you don't have to worry about plastic parts causing intestinal punctures.

(Please note, that you should not leave pets alone with the crochet critters if they have a habit of eating toys. If a pet eats a lot of the yarn, it can cause bowel obstructions.)

"Can I machine wash and dry my critter?"

As a mama, I know how annoying it can be to have to hand wash your child's favorite toy.  I try to make all critters with machine washable and dryable materials.  If a critter is made with different materials that are hand wash only, it will be listed on the critter's product page.

To machine wash, place your critter in a garment bag and wash on cold and delicate. 

Leave your critter in the garment bag and dry on delicate/low heat. 

(You can always hand wash and lay flat to dry if you would prefer.)

"How big is each critter?"

In the listing for each critter, there will be approximate measurements.  Since each critter is handmade, there might be slight differences in size.  If you want a jumbo critter, please fill out the request form.  Jumbo critters take me a few days to make, so they will not be regular listings.

"Why are prices higher on Etsy than the Cozy Critters and T's website?"

Etsy has a lot of high fees for sellers; because of these fees, items are priced higher.  If you feel more comfortable ordering through Etsy, but don't see an item from the website listed there, send me a message and I can add it for you.
